Griffins Foods Ltd have deployed eCargo to raise the bar of
transportation efficiency across their supply chain.
As one of NZ's largest branded consumer food companies, they
will use eCargo to empower their transportation team's ability
to strategise, plan, execute and settle transactions - whilst
providing event notification and reporting analysis. With three
manufacturing plants and two distribution warehouses across New
Zealand, eCargo will enable Griffins to optimise and manage the
movement of goods between multiple sites and carriers. This
enhances the opportunity for carrier efficiency, providing Griffins
with cost savings.
"We see the eCargo technology as a mission critical tool that we
will aggressively employ to leverage improvements in our
transportation management," says Tom Rosentreter, Supply Chain
Manager for Griffins Foods Ltd. "The web-native eCargo system will
enable us to partner with carriers and suppliers to gain visibility
across our network and improve the movement of goods."
Additionally, automating the payment processes will ensure tighter
control while reducing manual processes.
In addition to optimisation, load planning, execution, and
reporting functionality for all shippers, eCargo will also provide
complete web-based carrier functionality, allowing all core
carriers to participate - regardless of their technical
sophistication.
